2008
Company Foundation
Shaanxi Huatai Bio-Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. was officially established. The founder, Mr. Zhang Wei—an alumnus of Lanzhou University School of Pharmacy and former VP of a listed Beijing enterprise—brought deep expertise to the company, having contributed to the drafting of multiple national standards for the licorice industry.
2009
R&D Center Launch
An independent R&D laboratory was inaugurated in May. The technical team was further strengthened by Dr. Zhang, a former GSK Senior Technical Engineer. The center focused on the extraction and application of natural plant actives, with a primary emphasis on high-purity Glabridin.
2010
Strategic Team Expansion
Glabridin sales achieved a significant milestone, exceeding 100 units. The production team grew to 12 specialists, and the company successfully developed over 10 cosmetic-grade active ingredients. A diversified product portfolio was established, centered on licorice derivatives and supported by various functional plant extracts.
2012
Xi’an North Factory Operation
The Xi’an North Factory commenced operations, spanning 1,000㎡ and featuring three specialized production lines. During this period, we forged strategic alliances with the National Engineering Research Center for West Plant Chemistry and Northwest A&F University, establishing a joint R&D laboratory to drive innovation.
2015
Strategic Relocation
The facility relocated to Fuhai Industrial Park in the Yangling Demonstration Zone, expanding to 4,000㎡ with 5 standardized production lines. Achieved ISO9001:2008 and GB/T19001-2008 certifications. Partnered with Xi’an Jiaotong University’s School of Chemical Engineering and became the qualified Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate supplier for Yunnan Baiyao toothpaste.
2016
Exclusive Partnership
Successfully introduced Totarol from Mende Biotech Limited (New Zealand), becoming the exclusive agent in Mainland China. This year also marked our entry into the supply chain for Zhongshan (Hawley) Oral Care, providing high-purity Totarol for their specialized mouthwash product lines.
2019
High-Tech Recognition
Official recognition as a National High-Tech Enterprise. We significantly increased R&D investment to develop patented, market-leading active ingredients. Internationally, we participated in In-cosmetics Brazil 2019, successfully earning the trust and partnership of our core global client, Chemyunion.
